Daniel den Hoed in Rotterdam is one of the two top oncological hospitals in The Netherlands. The hospital is famous for its specialised treatment and scientific research into cancer.

The Familiehuis has an important place in the care and service to patients. The house was specially built to suit the intensive and special needs of patients and their families.

Make-a-Wish Foundation

Wishes only been blocked by the fantasy of a child. The Make-a-Wish Foundation does not only take care of the organization to realize a wish of a sick child, but is also responsible for all the costs of the dreamwish.

This is only possible with the more than 300 volunteers in the whole country. Thanks to the donations of companies, schools and private persons the Foundation is able to do this for the sick children between 3 and 18 years old. Just to let them forget for a moment that they have a life threatening disease. Just away for one moment from hospitals and doctors.

With the help of buy aid they aim for more than 500 wishes in 2010.
